Trythall, Richard
Richard Trythall was awarded the Rome Prize in Music Composition, a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Fulbright Fellowship and numerous composition commissions. As concert pianist he won the "Kranichsteiner Competition" (Darmstadt, Germany, 1969). He has had an active performing and recording career that includes CDs of music by Charles Ives, Jelly Roll Morton and himself. He has composed musique concrète, percussion works, orchestral music and a large body of solo piano music. Since 1964, he has lived in Rome, Italy.
