Neely Bruce (b. 1944) is the composer of over 600 works, including two full-length operas, four one-act operas, and music for orchestra, chorus, keyboards, other solo instruments, solo voice, and electronics. He holds degrees from the Universities of Alabama and Illinois and is Professor of Music and American Studies at Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut.
