For Flute and Bb clarinet, includes two scores. "Butterflies, Fanfares and Spanish Gardens" in an unusual 12-tone serial setting. Some mild dissonance, harmonic blossoms and colorful rhythms rather overstep the abstract qualities of the serial rules and produce musical, idiomatic dialogues between the flute and clarinet.
