For two trombones, includes two scores. "Pequeño" means "little" or "humble" and sometimes "child" or "little boy." So this is a "funny little rondo," for two trombones (or anything else), a little childish, with lots of syncopation in a happy Latin style and with some rhythmic bumps and rather ordinary tunes that suddenly twist about. Good for a two-part trombone choir and adaptable to other instruments as well. The work was inspired by the composer's experiences in Panama, it should be played with freedom and joy.
